Game Discussion. Players Helping Players. Using level 80 boost on a level 80 character. Hi all, I created a new thief with the intention of leveling him up regularly to 79 (I just like leveling up characters, it's relaxing for me) and then using the boost for the celestial gear. Unfortunately, I forgot, whoopsies! Leveling in GW2 is actually a lot easier and faster than I've found in any other MMO. Crafting is an alright way to gain a few levels, but if you're a new player it's generally too expensive to do. In Guild Wars you should definitely be able to do events that are a little higher leveled than yourself. this is only the beginning; there are fractals, strikes and raids. Dungeons to crawl, achievements with nice skins, ascended gear to unlock. From lvl 80 on you'll get to the sexy maps with nice events and meta's and generally appealing appereance. You can start working on legendary weapons. There's so much to do. Core mesmer is slow and often considered the most un-fun to lvl up to 80 (tho a lvl 80 mesmer with a proper build is fun) Revenants got a lot of buffs across all weapons and core legends as well as traitlines and are pretty good without any elite spec, but people still enjoy playing herald more than core revenant. ABmDK. Stop worrying about level 80. You get there and then you still have to grind, grind and grind, etc. It is a total anti-climax. Take it in the long term and enjoy the game and the world. With all the expansions and other DLC (which can be purchased later) you have a wonderful world in GW2 to enjoy and explore. Stop the fixation about Level 80. Exotic level 80 backpacks can be gotten in a variety of stats for quite cheap, either via karma (temple vendors in Orr) or via the Trading Post. Ascended backpacks can be acquired in a variety of ways, ranging from Fractal backpieces to crafting recipes to ones crafted in the Mystic Forge that you can buy the materials for and have in minutes Unbeknownst to many of us, you can get the ultimate underwater helmet in the game for free! Don't put it aside, get to Gavbeorn's Waypoint in Cursed Shore and get yours now for 1400 karma. Don't forget to rune it if you want it to work underwater, or you'll lose bonuses. 55. The Level-80 Boost is a special, consumable item that auto-levels one character to the maximum level. When activated, the boost will first begin a limited trial for the current character: moving them to The Silverwastes, temporarily making them level 80, and equipping them with level-appropriate gear and weapons. 6 days ago · These items are no more powerful than items which can be gained doing other activities in-game; the exotic sets are equal to the level 80 exotic crafted sets. Rewards [ edit ] Completing an explorable path rewards 20 Tales of Dungeon Delving , 26 , 20 Empyreal Fragments , experience equal to 70% of the character's level, a Piece of Rare I just work on it a bit at a time, when I feel like finishing a map or two. I enjoy both levelling and map completion; if I feel like doing map, I'll grab whichever char doesn't have 100% yet and finish the map they're on, or whatever area they are most nearly done with.
