The thermostat could be stuck closed not allowing coolant to flow to the radiator.If it is a coolant loss issue the coolant expansion tanks crack, pressure testing the cooling system would find the leak if this were the case.The X Type could have a V6 2.5 or 3.0L engine not sure if they were affected but the V8 Jaguar had water pump problem
2003 Jaguar X-Type (X400) V6-2.5L I replaced the O2 sensor on the back of the engine I still have the heater failure code p0037 I have 12 volts at the power terminal on the plug but I do not have a ground. I can't find where the ground is located or the bad wire.
